About the Event

Mr. Campbell is Co-Chief Executive Officer and Co-Founder of Double Eagle Energy Holdings. Headquartered in Fort Worth, Texas, Double Eagle’s principal business is crude oil and natural gas exploration, development, and production in the Permian Basin. Double Eagle also acquires oil and gas mineral and royalty throughout the lower 48. Over the last 15 years, Double Eagle has been one of the most active participants in the Permian Basin, assembling hundreds of thousands of acres, and completing billions of dollars in transactions.


Mr. Campbell graduated with honors from Texas Tech University’s Rawls College of Business in 2003, with Bachelor of Business Administration degrees in both finance and economics and earned a Master of Science degree in finance from Texas Tech in 2004. Campbell was a four-year football letterman at Texas Tech and received multiple All Big 12 and Academic All Big 12 honors. After his college career, he spent just under two years on the roster of the Indianapolis Colts as an offensive guard.


Mr. Campbell served on the Texas Tech Rawls College Advisory Council for three years (2011-2014) and was named the Rawls College Distinguished Alumnus for 2019. He currently is a member of the Board of Directors of the Texas Public Policy Foundation, the Board of Trustees of All Saints Episcopal School of Fort Worth, is a Distinguished Fellow at the America First Policy Institute and is a member of Young Presidents’ Organization. Mr. Campbell was appointed by Governor Abbott to the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board in 2019, and in 2021 was appointed to the Board of Regents of the Texas Tech University System.


Mr. Campbell lives in Fort Worth, Texas with his wife, Tara, and their four children.
