Meg Gentle
Meg A. Gentle was appointed to the Ovintiv Inc. Board of Directors in 2020. She brings to the board more than 25 years of industry experience across the commodity spectrum. Her expertise spans finance, economic and strategic planning, gas marketing and business development. Ms. Gentle currently serves as Executive Director of HIF USA, LLC, a decarbonization company developing large scale infrastructure to produce carbon-neutral eFuels from renewable energy.
Ms. Gentle served as president and chief executive officer of Tellurian Inc. and a member of its board of directors from 2016 through November 2020. She previously served as executive vice president-marketing at Cheniere Energy, Inc. While there, she also held numerous leadership positions including senior vice president-marketing; senior vice president and chief financial officer; and senior vice president-strategic planning & finance.
Prior to Cheniere, Ms. Gentle conducted international business development and strategic planning for Anadarko Petroleum Corporation and energy market analysis for Pace Global Energy Services. More information: https://www.ovintiv.com/governance/
Alix Steel
After 13 years at Bloomberg Media, Alix Steel joins DrivePath Advisors as Principal, bringing a global business perspective, seasoned knowledge of the energy sector, financial reporting acumen, and strategic communication skill that will help DrivePath clients provide the right solutions for their business.
During her tenure at Bloomberg, Alix anchored flagship programs including “Bloomberg Daybreak Americas,” “Commodities Edge,” and, most recently, “Bloomberg: The Close.” In these roles, she interviewed prominent business leaders such as Ken Langone, Lloyd Blankfein, Leon Cooperman, and CEOs from the oil and gas sector, including Darren Woods (ExxonMobil), Mike Wirth (Chevron), and Ryan Lance (ConocoPhillips).
Looking to the future of the energy space, she conducted in-depth interviews with top executives from Orsted, GE Vernova and Constellation in addition to the Secretary of Energy, Chris Wright and Secretary of the Interior, Doug Burgum. She also wrote, produced and hosted a Bloomberg one-hour special, “Shale: The Next Revolution” which explored the history of US shale, the wildcatters in the industry and the burgeoning shale regions globally.
Prior to joining Bloomberg, Alix spent five years as a multi-media reporter, anchor and producer for TheStreet.com focusing on global markets and anchored a live trading show, “Morning Call” for T3LIVE.com.
