MIKE HOWARD, Chairman and CEO, Howard Energy Partners

Mike Howard is Chairman and CEO of privately held Howard Midstream Energy Partners, LLC (HEP), a diversified energy company that owns midstream infrastructure in four states and Mexico (www.howardenergypartners.com). Mike has 30 years of energy experience and is a passionate believer that the world needs more energy. He is often heard saying that he is “pro-energy, pro-climate, and anti-poverty.” Mike is passionate about leading a meaningful endeavor and speaks about his journey of delivering positive energy, focusing on how a traditional oil and gas midstream company fits into the evolving energy landscape.

A seventh-generation Texan and native of Agua Dulce, Texas, Mike holds a bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering from Texas A&M University-Kingsville. Prior to starting HEP in 2011, Mike was an executive in publicly traded energy companies including President of Midstream for one of the largest pipeline companies in the U.S. He currently serves on the Board of Directors of HEP, Atlas Energy Solutions (NYSE: AESI) and Jonah Energy LLC.

Active in the community, Mike also serves on the Board of Trustees of the Texas A&M University-Kingsville Foundation, the San Antonio Academy, the United Way of Bexar County, Energy Corps and many other civic organizations including the co-founder of the South Texas Recovery Foundation.

Mike lives in San Antonio, Texas with his wife and three children. An avid outdoorsman, you can find him coaching one of his kids in sports, working on his exotic wildlife ranch, or on adventure with his family that usually involves hunting.
