DOUG BROOKS

Douglas E. Brooks is currently serving as Lead Independent Board Member of Chord Energy. He is an active investor in oil and gas, ranching and real property development, and classic automobiles.

Mr Brooks has been a transformative CEO and board member for companies including Oasis Petroleum, California Resources, Energy XXI, Yates Petroleum, Aurora Oil & Gas, Chaparral Resources, and others including founding two private equity sponsored US resource companies. Mr. Brooks began his career with Marathon Oil Company.

He earned his undergraduate degree in Business Management from the University of Wyoming (Casper) and an MBA in finance from Our Lady of the Lake University (Houston).
